Friends, last weekend, volunteers of Blue Pen conducted educational sessions for flyover/slum kids/women with usual enthusiasm.

Saurabh, Volunteer Coordinator (Munirka-Nizamuddin) shares, “We started our educational session from munirka shelter home, where Dr. Manorama Khanna (Chairman of our Blue Pen NGO) taught counting and alphabets to kids.
At Munirka slum, I took test of mathematics. Later, I gathered my students and taught hindi to them. Then i taught essay writing. In the end, as per established protocol of Blue Pen, our educational session ended with national anthem with kids. ”

Saurabh adds,”After that, we moved to our next center at nizamuddin, where no classes could be conducted due to some administrative. After lunch we moved to our last parallel centre tughlaqabad and okhla phase-1. Where regular classes were conducted.”

Saurabh adds,”Since winters are getting colder by each day, we thought to distribute free sweaters to all munirka and okhla Slum Children. On 1st december 2019, we have gifted sweaters all 10 munirka slum children sweaters after their regular educational classes. On receiving the sweaters, the children had smile on their face and feeling of gratitude in their hearts for Blue Pen NGO.”

At the end of the sessions at Safdarjung, Preeti ma’am along with her husband and daughter gave samosas and chocolates to kids. Children really enjoyed.I would really like to thank Preeti Ma’am for this benevolent gesture.”
