Blue Pen NGO

The primary focus of the Blue Pen organization is to provide the invaluable gift of education to individuals who are unable to access any educational institutions due to a lack of resources and awareness. The organization is determined to reach out to those who are currently living in circumstances that offer them no perspective on a life beyond their current situation. For generations, they have been resigned to living a life that is entirely devoid of education, culture, and society. Consequently, they are unable to contemplate a world beyond their meager, cramped, and often unclean homes. The parents, being poor, must spend their entire day selling cheap items such as dusty clothes, balloon bouquets, and petty toys on the streets to make ends meet. The income generated from these sales is so meagre that every member of the family, including women and children, must contribute to the family’s bread and butter. Typically, these families are large, and even eight or nine-year-old children are compelled to beg or sell items like petty clay, paper, or wooden toys. Unfortunately, they live in an environment where the dream of receiving an education is beyond their reach.

Many inhabitants in these slums and under flyovers suffer from severe health problems like asthma, tuberculosis, gastroenteritis, and others. Despite their debilitating conditions, they are often unable to access medical care due to their financial situation. Therefore, the Blue Pen NGO strives to ensure that no one suffers or dies due to the lack of proper treatment.

To provide a more dignified way of earning a livelihood, the organization has begun offering vocational training to adolescents and adults living in these slums and under flyovers. Part-time trainers have been engaged to impart this training.

The Blue Pen organization also seeks to leverage technological tools and facilities to improve the living standards of these impoverished individuals. They are shown documentaries, cartoon films, and didactic movies not only to encourage them to pursue the education we are providing but also to help them stay abreast of their more fortunate counterparts.

Vision

The primary focus of the organization is to bestow the precious gift of education to individuals who are devoid of any opportunity to acquire knowledge due to lack of resources and awareness. Our objective is to reach out to those who are unable to envisage a life beyond their present circumstances. For generations, they have been destined to lead a life entirely detached from education, society and culture. The squalid and cramped conditions of their dwellings make it impossible for them to imagine a world outside of their forced habitation. Parents, burdened by the harsh realities of poverty, spend their entire day selling various items like dusted cloths, balloon bouquets, and petty toys on the streets. The revenue generated from these sales is so meagre that the entire family, including women and children, must contribute towards earning a livelihood. As the size of the family is generally large, everyone must work together to make ends meet. Even children as young as eight or nine years old are forced to resort to selling petty toys or begging. They live in an environment where the dream of receiving an education is beyond their grasp.

The inhabitants of these slums and under flyovers face severe health problems such as asthma, tuberculosis, and gastroenteritis. Despite suffering from fatal diseases, they do not seek medical attention due to their financial constraints. To combat this, Blue Pen NGO endeavors to prevent any loss of life or suffering due to inadequate medical facilities.

To enhance the lives of adolescents and adults living in these flyovers and slums, the organization has devised a plan to provide them with vocational training. This will be achieved by engaging part-time trainers who will assist them in earning a livelihood in a more respectable manner.

Blue Pen is committed to using all available technological resources to improve the standard of living for these underprivileged individuals. The organization shows documentaries, cartoon films, and didactic movies to inspire these individuals to pursue the education that they are deprived of, and to keep up with their more fortunate peers.

Objectives

The primary objective of Blue Pen is to provide vocational training to adults, particularly women, living in flyovers and slums. The organization plans to hire vocational trainers to teach skills such as stitching, flower making, menhdi designing, mobile repair, cycle repair, and other income-generating activities on a regular basis. The aim is to empower these individuals with skills that can help them earn a livelihood in a dignified way. Additionally, Blue Pen intends to assist these adults in setting up their own shops to sell their products or services. This objective is aligned with the organization’s mission of bringing all-round upliftment, including economic empowerment, to the lives of those living in poverty.
