Blue Pen’s Flyover Kid’s Educational Sessions on 06.01.2019

Dear friends, after celebrating New year and Blue Pen’s Birthday last week, Team Blue Pen assembled again at various flyovers/slums of Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon and continued educational sessions enthusiatically.

Ms Kavita Chaudhary, Volunteer (Coordinator-IIT-Safdarjung) shares, “Inspite of rain, we organized our classes at IIT flyover where we taught Hindi varnmala to kids. This will help them in reading the book. At our second center of IIT, I taught Parts of body name to them. They all are very good learner and always eager to learn new things, this kind of feedback from kids truly motivates us to work harder.”

Ms Kavita furher adds, “Later, we moved to our next center Safdarjung where a 2.5 years old shalini tried her best to learn ABC, and Vijay wardhan Sir taught maths to students. After lunch we moved to Sangam vihar centre, where we continued with our regular teaching session. We organized surprise test for them. Also they told us about last Sunday (B’day Celebration of Blue pen) that they enjoyed a lot.”

Mr Sourav Sharma, volunteer (Coordinator-Munirka-Nizamuddin) mentions, “Last Sunday, we started our session with great enthusiasm however some hurdles came in-between due to unexpected rains. Kids were unable to come. As we know, if there is will there is way .Kids indeed turned up after some time. Jyoti and akash had separated the kids according to their classes. Jyoti taught science and maths while akash taugh alphabets, poems and numbers to the kids.”

He goes on, “At nizamuddin’s rein basera jyoti handled entire session very well alone, by taking quiz helping them to speak about myself. Firstly the kids were not confident but later they started trying and enjoying .At Tuqlakabad again jyoti handled class very well . Classwise kids were separated. Juniors kids wrote alphabets, tables, numbers as well as fruits vegetables name. Kids of class 4,5,6 were taught science and writing skills”

Mr Shivam, Volunteer (Coordinator-Noida-Faridabad) informs, “Last Sunday, it was raining in the morning and winters were at peak but still children came to study, they were already waiting for us. One of my close friend “Gagan” gifted me 100 copies, 20 pencil set and 5 pen boxes for the children. So, i distributed some of the copies and pens to elder kids and asked them to bring everytime so that all their study material will be in one place. This will help them in understanding the things more clearly.”

He further adds, “Then we went for the okhla early this time because of the continous raining in the noida. We started with the revision first as revision of previous session is very important. Mr. Deepak helped younger kids to learn colors name, he made learning very innovative by calling them on whiteboard and asked them to fill the blanks. Then we moved forward for the Faridabad. We planned to start with the teaching but the kids forced us to have a dance competition and even their parents came and said that they were practicing since 5.00 am, we were very happy on seeing their willingness to perform and truely they performed so well. Their performance actually showed their dedication. Then we announced the winners and gifted them color set.”
