Dear friends, Team Blue Pen conducted classes at various flyovers of Delhi, Noida and Faridabad, without Their Chairman Dr Manorama Khanna, who couldnt join them as she had to attend Kumbh Snan. Topics varied from mathematics to Grammar, India’s response to Phulwama incident to moral stories.

Shivam,Volunteer(Coordinator-Noida-Okhla-Faridabad) tells,” Last Sunday, due to rainy weather, strength of students was quite less but somehow we managed the session and it was interactive too. We taught them skip counting and along with it, we also conducted mental ability test includes guessing the pattern of numbers. Even volunteers participated in that but only Ritika was able to answer 3 questions out of 4. Our motive was to let them think out of the box so that next time they would use the same approach.”

Mr Shivam further adds,”At Okhla centre, we taught fractions. We also taught them how to check the exact divisibility of a number and how to calculate factors. At Faridabad centre, the strength of students was good enough. We started the session by playing carrom board with students which made the session interesting and interactive from the beginning. To small kids, we taught identification of vowels and consonants. We have taught addition of kg & gm and the recognition & measurement of cm & mm by using a ruler to the students of class 5th.

Also we had a discussion about India and Pakistan issue factors like Pulwama attack, Surgical air strike and Wing Commander Abhinandan’s return. The aim of this discussion was to test their knowledge about current affairs because having a knowledge about our country is an essential part of our daily life”
